My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy: a delight

After soo many WTFs controversies and a self-imposed exile in Hawaii , Kanye came up with his 5th studio album after 808s & Heartbreak (2008) which was named Good Ass Job but later the name was changed to My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy.
Kanye along with his A-star artists  Rihanna, Jay-Z, Pusha T, Prynce Cy Hi, Swizz Beatz , The RZA, Kid Kudi, Raekwon, Dwele, Rick Ross, Nicki Minaj, Bon Iver & John Legend did the work in Hawaii to contribute to the album.
The album lives up to the title when you put the headphones on and listen to what he’s trying to say. The lyrics are harsh and its like a dark age album with a different approach to a lot of common things.
The album has  a collage of sounds with every emotion and mood embedded in it , which is just EARGASMIC. Kanye still keeps the soul music alive with auto-tune ( which has been kanye’s trademark ) to mix it up for the current taste.
Even after soo much controversies and problems in his life, Kanye has proved it yet again with all 5 of his albums going platinum. The album is also supported by a short movie which explains every song in the album.

The album starts off with “Dark Fantasy”, the song transforms from long notes to a classic beat with sounds of sparkles coming down, Being the opening song it starts off with Nikki Minaj doing the introduction for Kanye . “ The plan was to drink until the pain over.. but what’s worse , the pain or the hangover? “ which reflects his drinking habits after the death of his mother which resulted to his Taylor Swift interruption.
To a surprise Kanye has also mentioned several cars in this song too.

“Gorgeous” is Kanye’s comeback song where he clears his image with tough lyrics and his inspiring lines make the song simply gorgeous.

“Power” based on tribal music mixed with a new age beat which has been brilliantly synchronized , the song is filled with raw power. “I guess every super hero needs his own theme music” is one of the favorite quotes made by him. Kanye also mentions Obama in this very song reflecting to the past when Obama called him a Jackass in front of the whole nation. The song ends on a sad thought “ It should be a beautiful death jumping outta the window, letting everything go” which marks the end to it.

Next track is an interlude version of the track “All of the lights” which followed by the song itself. “All of the lights” is one of the highlights of the album which starts with Rihanna singing. In the song Kanye pays a tribute to the legend Michael Jackson who left us sometime back.

“Monster” featuring Jay-Z, Rick Ross , Nikki Minaj & Bon Iver brings out all the monsters in the house. Lyrical quote-:“I’m living in the future so your present is my past, My presence is a present Kiss my ass” which is quoted by Kanye in the song.

“So Appalled”,“Devil in a New Dress” and “Runaway” have not failed to spread the magic and have something special.

“Hell of a Life” is a very different track which is just a surprise to the whole flow of the album, talking about falling in love with a pornstar , getting married in the bathroom , honeymoon on the dance floor and getting divorced by the end of the night’ that makes it a hell of a song.

Listening to “Blame Game” feels like listening to a continued part of the his previous album “808’s and Heartbreaks” in the song Kanye talks about the phase when two people blame each other for their mistakes which turns into a fight and a complete mess just by playing the blame game. Kanye uses the stereo channels to float the lyrics around and this is one song u can’t listen with one earphone. John Legend has done beautiful notes between Kanye’s lines and in the end, Kanye gets on a sloppy-low pitched-voice talking to the girl cheating on Yeezy ( Kanye’ s Stage name) and narrating the whole scene.

“Lost in the World” is a perfect escape for anybody looking for a break from that busy schedule which blends in the following song “Who Will Survive In America” which is aimed at the Real American Dream which according to Kanye has been lost in this 21st century.

The whole album covers almost all the human emotions and every song is blessed going with the flow of the album, its feels great how Kanye has managed to transform the power to a sadistic cover and then suddenly fill it a lot of energy.
After all he has been through, this album perfectly made and Kanye has treated everybody with his best.

ALBUM RATING: 10/10
